Synopsis
Maddie, a teen stuck in the afterlife investigating her own disappearance, goes on a crime-solving journey as she adjusts to high school purgatory.

The acting was okay, Maria Dizzia gave the best performance despite being a side character. The plot was interesting enough and it ended in an unexpected way. That being said the editing really brought the quality of the show down. There’s a lot of odd shots that pause on characters to long, a lot of random clips that don’t add anything to the story, and as I recall, even a few instances where there was a complete black or nearly blank shots that where merely seconds long between cuts that felt as if the editors forgot to add a scene or something. With better editing I would have probobly rated this an 8 (or 4 stars). Also, not hate to Peyton List, I have enjoyed many of the things I’ve seen her in, but she, as well as Milo Manheim, just can’t seem to shake the Disney channel acting vibe. Again, I do think the editing was working against her on her performance, but she really needs to take a different approach if she’s going to be a lead.
