Synopsis

The invasion of a village in Belarus by German forces sends young Florya into the forest to join the weary Resistance fighters, against his family's wishes. There he meets a girl, Glasha, who accompanies him back to his village. On returning home, Florya finds his family and fellow peasants massacred. His continued survival amidst the brutal debris of war becomes increasingly nightmarish, a battle between despair and hope.

The best and most striking War movie I've ever seen! Adapted from an autobiographical novel, II. "Idi i Smotri..", inspired by the horrifying story of 628 Belarusian villages that were burned down with their inhabitants during World War II. We watch the movie through the eyes of a 15-year-old boy named Florian from the moment it starts. Frankly, I felt the horror of the war to my bones, and the director used blood, a show of strength, a flight of kidneys in the air, etc. It is extra impressive that the film is equipped with "hit" scenes, not by simplifying the style, but by virtue of these two conditions that are bold and realistic. From the moment the movie started, it really pulled me in and everything was so real that Florian's eyes, ears, feelings.. especially his ear, because Florian loses most of his hearing in the first scenes, we hear what Florian thinks is around him, bombs exploding, bullets flying, shrieks, screams... Florian is experiencing these events so traumatic that he thinks everyone who dies is dying in pain, it makes us hear it that way, The 45-year-old appearance of the boy who joined the war at the age of 15, the fear in his eyes will not go away before my eyes. A very realistic, catchy as well as surrealist and artistic film. The acting is magnificent, the film is magnificent, the director, producer, music are all perfect.
