Wonderful movie, it's great how it slowly catches you until the moment of the climax, it touches on many complex issues such as family ties, ambition, hidden homosexuality, because it's evident that the protagonist had something with his friend, but at that time a homosexual relationship was unacceptable, in the end everything boils down to appearances, from the sister-in-law who only thinks about money, the brother who always tries harder to get his father's attention and have his approval in everything, without will, without criteria own, lives only to please his father, a devoted mother who gives too much without receiving much, a ruthless father who was so dedicated to making money that he forgot his family's needs (emotional) love and support, a woman suffering from a an absent husband, a husband who has to share with a third party, it is evident that she loves him, but she also loves the comfort that comes from being a member of that wealthy family, that is why she puts up with so many things and finally we have the protagonist, a man who lives tormented by the loss of his dear "friend" and by the guilt of having ignored his call for help, feeling disgust for the life in which he lives and taking refuge in alcohol to forget, in short, this film is a perfect definition from "The rich also cry".
