Their storylines are compelling and interesting enough to keep on the edge of seats, but they never go for the shock or wow factor. Highmore’s performance is truly the rock of this series. The realism of it all harkens back to the first medical drama I ever fell in love with.

This is a great series. The series is a medical drama with great everyday storylines. I love that it spotlights an autistic adult who wanted to be a surgeon and so he became one. The series depicts difficulties that someone with autism faces and interactions they have with others while showing the viewers who may not understand fully how a person with autism functions. I loved the fact that Shaun and Lea were married and had a baby. The actor who plays Dr Shaun Murphy, Freddie Highmore, is really talented in this role!
