Synopsis
In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to find a place to heal. But someone — or something — from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her, and what begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.

"Men" is one of the most intense and thought-provoking horror films I've seen in years. The plot works with various abuses (psychological, physical) that women suffer with men, taking you to totally grotesque places. Jessie Buckley in a super competent performance.

After watching the trailer for this movie, I really wanted to watch it and I was waiting for June 23rd to go see this movie.
But, the day before yesterday I was lucky to see it in the cinema before the all-Russian premiere.
Based on the trailer, I expected a very strange tape, but with an interesting plot and scary moments that would scare me.
Were my expectations met?
The film "Male" is a very strange movie that captures the viewer from the very first frames.
The film was interesting, the time passed unnoticed.
The atmosphere of fear was felt, and the terrible moments really scared me.
Also, there are some nasty scenes in this film, so it is better not to watch for the faint of heart.
After watching it, I thought about this tape and its meaning for a long time, and this rarely happens to me.
Also, I would like to mention the excellent work with the light, excellent camera work, good actors and their acting, and an excellent soundtrack.
As a result, my expectations were justified, although there are a couple of minuses, but you can close your eyes to them.
I advise you to watch this film in the cinema, especially in the original language with Russian subtitles.
My rating: 9 out of 10.
