Synopsis

An animated fantasy-comedy series that follows Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who accidentally stumbles upon a portal to a magical world where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting.

The Owl House: The Girl Who Lived (in Both Worlds) If you’ve ever wondered what Harry Potter might look like as an animated series, "The Owl House" could be your answer — sort of. I’m just kidding, and while some might find this comparison a bit off or even offensive, the initial feeling when you start watching is that they share some similarities. You’ve got a character who doesn’t quite fit in, stumbles into a magical world, and embarks on an adventure. But as the plot deepens, it becomes clear that "The Owl House" is its own unique story. I really enjoyed this cartoon. The characters are memorable, and while the premise might seem basic at first, the execution is where it truly shines. Dana Terrace, who was also part of "Gravity Falls", really pushed boundaries with Disney on this one, and her vision paid off in a big way. Parents, be aware that this show includes a fair share of diverse representation. Whether that makes you happy or gives you pause, it’s something to keep in mind :) P.S. The show even teases fans with hints that the worlds of The Owl House and Gravity Falls might be connected.
