Synopsis
A gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.

"The Fallen Sun" is a cinematic tour-de-force that deserves to be seen by anyone who loves a good crime thriller. Squinting and shambling his way through horrific crime scenes with his hands in his pockets, Luther is a nod to both Columbo and Sherlock Holmes. But it's Elba's mercurial screen presence that truly elevates the character to something special.
