THE TRAIL OF CHICAGO 7, 2020 Genre: Courtroom Drama “I think the institutions of our democracy are wonderful things that right now are populated by some terrible people" -Abbie Hoofman The film is based on the infamous 1969 trial of seven defendants charged by the federal government with conspiracy and more, arising from the countercultural protests in Chicago at 1968. This film is a wonderful take on courtroom drama which is written brilliantly for the present day viewers. This film is so captivating that it will hold you by your throat and it has many clap worthy moments. The way film cuts back and forth between events makes this film smooth. And the performances of whole cast is amazing. However, true hero of the film is the writer-director of this movie Aron Sorkin. This is a hard-hitting courtroom drama which you shouldn’t miss.
