Synopsis

Iwatani Naofumi was summoned into a parallel world along with 3 other people to become the world's Heroes. Each of the heroes respectively equipped with their own legendary equipment when summoned, Naofumi received the Legendary Shield as his weapon. Due to Naofumi's lack of charisma and experience he's labeled as the weakest, only to end up betrayed, falsely accused, and robbed by on the third day of adventure. Shunned by everyone from the king to peasants, Naofumi's thoughts were filled with nothing but vengeance and hatred. Thus, his destiny in a parallel World begins...

Doing these reviews for myself. If you're looking for a heavily analytic and intellectual review...this is NOTTT the account 🤣. ok so hm. honestly the whole time I was WAITINGGGG for Raphtalia and Naofumi to kiss. Like literally this wasnt even a slow burn, there was just no serious romance between them at all and I kept gaslighting myself 😭😭😭. The plot is actually really good though imo. Like he starts off getting accused of sexual assault and since we, as viewers, KNOW it didn't happen, we feel for him and take his side as the protagonist. He becomes this sort of morally gray hero who saves people but only because of the monetary gain. And somehow, you can see his flaws but still support him. It's a really interesting dynamic. He's so hated and yet he never tried to TRULY defend himself until it absolutely came to that. i think this was a really steadily placed anime and a worthwhile watch. honestly i binged it but like idk if its actually bingeable or if i just have too much time on my hands...so. overall a solid 8/10 for me, going off of the first season alone (idk if there are more ill have to check).
