The Langoliers

Most of the passengers on an airplane disappear and the remainder land the plane in a mysteriously barren airport - the world is dead, o one is there, the air is still, no echo, tasteless food; a distant sound is heard coming closer, beings bent on destruction, eating everything in sight.
