Synopsis
A World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler, Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.

Simple, moving, funny, seen through the eyes of an innocent Child, mixed with such realistic feelings, life is sad sometimes but that doesn't mean the good things go away and therein lies the beauty of living, lies in the fact that without it there is no such thing as good and we must be thankful that we are still alive. I love how through the movie Jojo goes through full ups and downs but at no time is he discouraged from living, his innocence as a child makes him enjoy life and that is what we should aim for, he has a sad moment and he faces it out of nowhere something happens funny or moving, that mix really makes me feel identified with life. But you always have to highlight the good. At the end of the movie, he shows a phrase that reflects that. In addition, the final song was a personal touch since that song represents a new change in me and listening to it again I think it made me remember the beauty of life <3 and nothing better than remembering that with a movie that is not unrealistically sad or unrealistically happy <3 it's very real and i liked it too much. It plays very well with various elements, such as the cruel reality of war, humor, innocent pov of a child, pain, love, true happiness, being present and more <3 I loved it

"Jojo Rabbit" is a wonderful dramedy that satirizes and at the same time emphasizes the terrible reality of the Second World War, which resonates with the events of today. But it is also a very touching film about family, love and friendship, which help to survive all the difficulties of wartime, and especially a child. Taika Waititi's parody of Hitler is a reason for a separate post.

I heavily enjoyed this movie! The acting & Filming is beyond pleasant. (Especially the German accents were great!!) I loved the way how the portrayed JoJo’s perspective of Mr. Mustache himself, not only did they show aspects like JoJo believing Hitler would be a smoker despite him being heavily anti smoking or that Hitler would eat “Unicorn meat” despite him being known as a Vegetarian (Showing how JoJo’s perspective of Hitler was so much different then the real man himself.) They also did something amazing with Hitler throughout the movie that seemed to go unnoticed by many watchers- At the beginning of the movie Hitler was portrayed and this funny comedic character all from the eyes of some little boy, but as the Movie progressed and JoJo’s view on Hitler began to change into a more negative viewing you can see JoJo’s imaginary perspective of Hitler slowly becoming more intense (More like the real Hitler) and less goofy until we see him at the end angry with A bullet hole through his head visibly angry and not the “Comedic relief” of a character he was at the beginning of the movie, & god, do I love this little detail!!! Wonderful dark comedy.

Differentiating itself from the conventional, JoJo Rabbit appeals more to critical comedy than the action that many expect.
However, the excellent performances of the protagonists and especially of Taika Waititi as Adolf Hitler elevate this feature as a great entertainment.

This film was exceptional and one of the best I've seen this year. Watiti has great comedic vision and the cast is phenomenal. Jojo Rabbit was wierd , funny , heartwarming and heartbreaking and I think its definitely worth the watch.

WWII shown through the prism of the 10-year old. Mostly hilarious, but also serious and emotional. Each character adds a spice to the movie, but Sam Rockwell was just outstanding.

I was wondering how this another story about WW2 will be told. Didn’t we have enough? Loved every second of it. One of the best dark comedies ever made. Beautiful and humane, attention to detail, sophisticated humor. Simply wonderful. Bravo Taika Waititi!
