Synopsis
Singer Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and bass guitarist John Deacon take the music world by storm when they form the rock 'n' roll band Queen in 1970. Hit songs become instant classics. When Mercury's increasingly wild lifestyle starts to spiral out of control, Queen soon faces its greatest challenge yet – finding a way to keep the band together amid the success and excess.

You don’t need to like Queen’s music to love this movie. Great watch. Those who were teenagers in the 80s will love the reconstruction of the LiveAid concert. Great images of London in the 70s etc RIP Freddie you sweet and very talented man

Unpopular opinion: I honestly believe that this movie is overrated. Of course, I appreciate that millions of young people got to know the Queen and the legendary Freddy thanks to the film. It feautures great music, it is very decently shot, Rami Malek tried so hard and Live Aid scene gave chills. But.. after so much controversy, changing of cast and directors, this movie is clearly a censored version of Freddy's life (from the remaining Queen's perspective). What really disappointed me that Rami looks nothing like Freddy and this was distracting me all the time (particularly the eyes and the teeth). Everytime I was dreaming what if Sacha Baron Cohen could reach an agreement with the Queen...Out of respect to genius Mercury and Rami Malek's efforts 4/5

I think that the movie is not bad, and even though Rami Malek’s acting was good enough for my taste, but the movie for me lacks the personality of Freddie Mercury. Something that we couldn’t read about, or something, that would tell us the real story of such a legendary persona. The script has dedicated a lot of time to his sexual preferences, some time for his loneliness and even less time for his passion for music. But I would prefer to see more about music,about his extraordinary view on how Queen’s music should sound like. about his relationships with fellow band mates and his family. It felt like what they’ve shown us is just the top of the iceberg and there could be a lot more shown. I don’t regret watching it, but it was below my expectations for sure.
