Synopsis
South Africa, 1978. Tim Jenkin and Stephen Lee, two white political activists from the African National Congress imprisoned by the apartheid regime, put a plan in motion to escape from the infamous Pretoria Prison.

Perfect. I was so excited as if I was running away myself.
It's definitely in the top 3 escape movies.

It’s not perfect, but it’s certainly worth a watch. One of its shortcomings, arguably, is that the context of apartheid in South Africa isn’t particularly delved into. The drama of the incarceration and momentum of the escape are the focus, even though the characters’ motivations are political.
BTW the second half is stronger than the first, so if you feel yourself fading, you’ll want to hang in there.
