A couple of days ago I watched the upgrade, despite the fact that the film has long been hanging on the Internet on resources inaccessible to a pious citizen of our country, last week on this very Internet they began to actively smear it on social networks already available to all. So it's time for me to say something about it. I must say right away that the film is worth watching, but I preferred to do it legally and was not at all upset with my decision.
You cannot call the upgrade something truly new and fresh, but why all this imaginary freshness, if the film does an excellent job with its assigned tasks: it is interesting, moderately funny, knows how to keep in suspense, is not deprived of good-quality cruelty (we would all like for Venom to be like that) and gore.
In general, he is a good representative of post-Sci-Fi and has practically no moments that can actively enrage viewers, what else can we demand from the cinema?
As for the cast, you won't have to say much either: Logan Marshall-Green never aroused my sympathy on the screen (and I only remember him in Prometheus of the "genius" Ridley Scott), but in this film it is more than pleasant to watch him, many, of course they say that here he looks like Tom Hardy, I will not deny and confirm this, but I can say with confidence that one does not interfere with the other. Unpleasant impressions were left either by the character of Harrison Gilbertson, or by himself, he looks too much like a downtrodden pretentious boy, and not like Jared Leto, the great creator of replicants, but even at this moment there are explanations in the plot, albeit not one hundred percent, but explanations. In addition, there are also holes in the plot, but I cannot discuss them without spoilers.
A small note about the shitty Russian dubbing: I haven't watched the original, and I don't see the point, personally I got pleasure from the version duplicated by our filmmakers completely and sincerely I don't understand by presenting it.
7.5 / 10
P.S. The transverse does not enrage.
P.P.S. The new poster is shit.
