One of my favourites, ot takes nothing away from the original and Halle's voice was spellbounding I watched it in

He sido hechizada por Halle Bailey y su hermosa voz, las dos horas se fueron volando, reviví recuerdos de mi infancia, ojalá mi madre estuviera viva para ver esta versión con ella, la primera versión (la animada) la vi con ella, fue bonito revivir gratos recuerdos y olvidarme de todo durante ese tiempo.

Visuellement très beau film.
Triton et Ariel sont bien interprétés.
Coup de coeur pour Vanessa (dommage qu'on la voit très peu) et Ursula même s'il lui manque ce petit côté loufoque très présent dans le dessin animé et non dans le film. 
Déception du prince Éric, aucun charisme, et qui fait très gamin.
Les chansons ajoutées et modifiées n'apportent  rien au film.
Le film est fidèle au dessin animé mais on aurai encore une fois aimé des différences avec des prises de risques ...
Pour terminer, le réalisme du film en fait perdre sa magie et fantaisie avec Sébastien et Polochon qui sont plus mignons dans le dessin animé. 
Point de vue personnel : je préfère des adaptions de films Disney avec soit des modifications ou des nouveaux scenarios  tels que Cruella, Maléfique car pour toutes les adaptations en films les dessins animés restent indétrônable.

Visually very beautiful film.

Favorite for Vanessa (too bad we see her very little) and Ursula even if she lacks this little crazy side very present in the cartoon and not in the film.
Disappointment of Prince Eric, no charisma, and who looks very childish.
The added and modified songs add nothing to the film.
The film is faithful to the cartoon but we would once again have liked the differences with risk-taking...
Finally, the realism of the film makes it lose its magic and fantasy with Sébastien and Flounder who are cuter in the cartoon.
Personal point of view: I prefer adaptations of Disney films with either modifications or new scenarios such as Cruella, Maleficent because for all the adaptations in films the cartoons remain unbeatable.

Very decent big screen version of the animated film should delight viewers

The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric.
