I missed this at the time. Maybe the trailer didn’t connect at the time. But this is a great movie.. Mc Avoy and Knightly both excellent but no big awards for them at Oscars etc.. he was up against DDL … it’s the cinematography for me just BRILLIANT …chapeau Mr McGarvey

I am not a fan of this genre, but gave Atonement a try:) Beautiful cinematography, beautiful James McAvoy and Keira Knightley, Keira's iconic green dress, very young Saoirse Ronan with her powerful acting. Brilliant music (but very sad). Interesting non-linear narrative and great one-take Dunkirk scene. Overall, a very high quality film. What I did not like is that the middle of the movie is too slow paced, the love is too unrealistically romantic and the movie is profoundly sad.

It was a very impressive movie visually and emotionally, but I was a bit upset at the end, the music was great.
