There are several attributes that make this second time around in the ocean work. It’s an entertaining sequel. It may be formula-ridden and a touch unoriginal but fear, terror and suspense still work. As an aquatic slasher flick it’s superb. Maybe not elegant but the menacing great white does not disappoint. Solid sequel while exploring Brody’s PTSD from the first.
