Synopsis
In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.

This series has been running for a very long time. The series shows life in the big city and the crimes surrounding sexual assaults.
Marissa Haggerty and Ice T have really grown into their parts and are the longest running cast members. They are SVU with their portrayals of Olivia Benson and Fin Tutturolo.
Each episode leaves you with a better understanding of the crimes that no one really thinks about and gives a voice to victims of sexual assault who otherwise wouldn’t come forward. The writers of this series have made easier in my opinion for victims who watch it to deal with the trauma they are experiencing and feeling less alone.
I believe that each city throughout the United States should have a special task force such as this to deal with these crimes.

Long running tv series are dedicated detectives who investigate sexual based offenses in this successful series that is still going strong since it debuted in 1999.a very excellent series with some hard hitting stories
