Film Buff

Even if it’s a well made movie with good actors still it’s not close to original Shakespeare write. Maybe charismatic Al Pacino was so persuasive that you feel empathy to Shylock, or plot made him much better than in original play. But here Shylock is not a greedy Jew, he is a man with pride and desire for revenge. Also Antonio and Bassanio... friends only?
