Synopsis

NYPD cop John McClane's plan to reconcile with his estranged wife is thrown for a serious loop when, minutes after he arrives at her office's Christmas Party, the entire building is overtaken by a group of terrorists. With little help from the LAPD, wisecracking McClane sets out to single-handedly rescue the hostages and bring the bad guys down.

The action film that started a revolution! John Mcclane has visited his ex-wife in order to make up for a lost time. But, the merry-making is interrupted by Hans Gruber, a well-dressed terrorist with an ingenious plan to get rich quick. John soon realizes that someone needs to rise up to stop this menace and that someone is him. This film delivers on all the things we've come to love from the action genre; a badass hero, a crafty bad guy, and stunts that defy logic. It's not just an awesome action flick, but it's a Christmas film too.

Classic action, which changed the genre and had several other films made with the same idea, and one of the best Christmas movies of all time, bruce willis completely changed from comedy drama actor to cat and mouse to a big action star.
