Classic. "What we do today echoes through eternity." Without a doubt, the power games and brutal battles were sensational. Rome has never been so lost after the death of Marcus Aurelius, and it is up to Maximus (Russell Crowe) to secure his freedom as a gladiator, as well as save this empire doomed to fun, death, and illusions. Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) is a hysterical and ambitious figure, but without the sense of Justice, Courage, Temperance, and Wisdom, attributes of his late father. In short, it is an epic film that demonstrates the bravery of these ancient warriors.

Perhaps one of the most beautiful historical (but not canonical) films of all time. Perhaps one of the most iconic films of the 2000s, if not "the most". Perhaps the film of my life, which has always accompanied me. It is no longer even considered a classic of cinema, a cult. But a mammoth work, a Colossal. Like the story it tells. The story of a Roman army commander, betrayed by his empire. Of a general who became a slave, the slave who became a gladiator, the gladiator who challenged an emperor. Maximum. Everything has become iconic in this film: Russell Crowe, Hans Zimmer, Enya's "Now We Are Free" and then there are the gladiators, the Colosseum, Rome. Yet another masterpiece by Ridley Scott and which consecrates him on every genre, certainly among the most important and influential directors of all time. "Once there was a dream and that dream was Rome .."

One of the most epic stories of the Roman Empire on the big screen, Gladiator is visceral and shocking. Russell Crowe gives a show of acting as Ex-General Maximus Meridius, who struggles to find the one who killed his family. The action scenes are jaw-dropping.
