İncili süreli okuyarak bir provokatöre dönüşme sürecinde Venya’nın, dini kullanarak toplumun damarına basan bir politik liderden hiç farkı yok. Ona  muhalefet olacak karakter Elena’nın ise ikna edicilik konusunda sorunları  olduğu öne çıkıyor. İnsanların kendisiyle aynı dine ve ya ideolojiye inanmayan bireylere karşı duyduğu düşmanlığın ve uyguladığı ötekileştirmenin en çok görüldüğü ülkelerden biri olduğumuz için maalesef acı gerçekler yüzümüze daha bir sert vuruyor. Aktör Pyotr Skvortsov’un (Venya) yabancılaştırıcı ve duygusuz performansı ise bazen sinir bozucu oluyor. Filmde yer yer zorlamalar olsa da sonuna kadar izlettiriyor.

In the process of turning into a provocateur by reading the Bible, Venya is no different from a political leader who presses the veins of society by using religion. Elena, the character who will oppose her, has problems with persuasion. Unfortunately, because we are one of the countries where the hostility people feel against individuals who do not believe in the same religion or ideology and the marginalization they apply, unfortunately, the bitter facts hit us harder. Actor Pyotr Skvortsov's (Venya) alienating and emotionless performance is sometimes annoying. Although there are some compulsions in the film, it makes you watch it until the end.
