Its actually a masterpiece. I think many people didnt understand the purpose of the arrival of the heptapods. It was to give the gift of the universal language(their language) and also to tell louise that they will need help from humans in 3000 years. And part of me also believes it was to bring world unity. Well we are all entitled to think what we want. According to me its one of the best sci-fi movie ever made
