I quite enjoyed the first half of the movie, you get what is expected from a Bond movie: visually pleasing locations, nice cars, British humour and, of course, “martini shaken, not stirred”. But the second half is mostly terrible.. Extremely long, boring, full of cliches, lacking any logic whatsoever… And “Russian” caricature villains with stupid names and no motivation 😄it looked like a parody.

do you recommend the movie

Very powerful movie! Highly recommend to all those who love thought-provoking and dark social dramas (with thriller elements). Definitely one of the best modern Russian movies.

Pleasantville is a visual treat But this is not the film's only merit. Pleasantville has a stellar cast: talented Tobey Maguire and gorgeous Reese Witherspoon, charming Joan Allen and charismatic William H. Macy, touching Jeff Daniels and even handsome Paul Walker in his small role. It is a sweet, multi-layered and highly metaphorical film with so many ideas which can interpreted in so many ways (e.g. anti-utopie, manifest against repression; ode to equality and freedom of expression). However, if wrongly interpreted the film might also be viewed as a propaganda of sex, profanity, etc. The film aged very well and made me think a lot, especially in terms of Tobey's career. Overall, I recommend Pleasantville to those of you who like Truman Show, Interstate 60, Big Fish and other similar movies.

Such a wonderful movie!

The Chorus is a heartwarming, sweet and kind movie. It is not overly sentimental, yet emotional enough to touch our hearts :') The actors and kids gave solid performances, while Gérard Jugnot and Jean-Baptiste Maunier were particularly good in their roles😍 The only minor downside is that the plot is quite simple and sometimes a bit simplistic (I wanted to see a bit more in terms of character development). But overall, it is a very beautiful, charming and feel-good movie.

Croupier is an incredibly stylish, atmospheric yet forgotten neo-noir. Slow-paced and dark this film is quite a realistic depiction of the casino. Clive Owen is excellent as a lead! This role actually helped him to launch his international career. Croupier is not a casino flick only, in fact, it also gives some Following (1998) and Adaptation (2002) vibes 😎

To start with, I am a huge fan of mind-blowing time travel/time loop/multiverse movies. Therefore, I was well prepared for this journey:) What did Tenet offer me? - Impressive and intense opening sequence - Stunning cinematography and set pieces - Fantastic idea of time inversion - Good performances by John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki and Kenneth Branagh. I would like to specifically note Robert Pattinson (whom I always underestimated). Although having considerably less screen time than I expected, his character is charismatic and memorable. - Stylish and cool "inverted" soundtrack by Ludwig Goransson. When it comes to the plot... There is a fine line between a well-crafted and satisfyingly mind-blowing movies (e.g. Memento, Inception, Mr. Nobody, "Dark" series) and a confusing pseudo-scientific mess. Tenet is right on the borderline... Given my previous experience, I could generally understand the plot and see the plot twists coming (some of them were quite predictable). However, considering extreme intensity/fast pace of the film, it is impossible to spot all the details (especially in the last sequence). Moreover, the film is full of exposition/dialogues which are hard to discern due to background music/noise and actors mumbling (much worse in IMAX). These constant dialogues made me recall low-budget gem "Primer" (mind-bending time travel movie shot for USD 7000, not 200 mln!). Overall, the plot is not solid, it feels a bit rushed and rough. We are seeing multiple stunning locations, new characters and some illogical/unnecessary actions with little to no introduction. The film also lacks personal stories and emotional touch (except for Debicki's storyline). Cannot say that it was too cold though (I liked a couple of jokes and quotes). In a nutshell, Tenet is a spectacular and fast-paced action movie with an interesting and complex time inversion idea applied to a very basic and imperfect spy plot. While Clemence Poesy says "Don't try to understand it, feel it", I would say "...just enjoy the spectacle". Advice: if you really want to understand something, try to find a subtitled or dubbed version, especially if English is not your mother tongue (and perhaps not in IMAX).

hey can i ask you something pls.?

This is such an interesting, engaging and elegant film! British humour at its best! I was smiling all the way through the film) Dennis Price was amazing in his role of a well-mannered and sophisticated murderer. Meanwhile, Alec Guinness was phenomenal playing all eight (!) D'Ascoyne family members. This film is not just a comedy, this is an elaborate crime movie providing social commentary and featuring an absolutely brilliant ending! One of the best Ealing films and British comedies ever! Highly recommend to classic films fans!
