Excellent show. The acting tends to fall flat with the lead female from time to time but it’s not overly annoying. Like most crime shows, it just gets to be a wash and repeat after a few seasons but the writers do seem to try. I very mini enjoy the underlying story with unanswered questions and that each case/episode are connected to each other with a long game end goal. The connections and questions add a little depth so that it doesn’t 100% feel like a wash a repeat like csi or ncis.
I mentioned csi and ncis, if you don’t like those shows I wouldn’t brush off The Blacklist quickly; the film foundation is the same but the amazing back stories of the “bad guys” (and good guys) make this show different and appealing to a wider target market.
Also, the protagonist male is creepy, sociopathic, psychotic but with a calm, intelligent, wise and secret big heart that you can’t help but guiltily love him. (Think Hannibal Lector).

This is an intelligent movie that is not only a wonderful story to watch but is also eye opening educational. Watching the journey of this man’s life ebb and flow is touching.
